Sign Up Now
If you signed up for:
  1. Alertmarin.org (sophisticated action-based alert system for Marin County), landlines automatically included. you must opt in for any mobile devices or Voice over Internet Phones (Voip);
  2. Nixle.com (informational, community and action based alerts by zipcode. You may opt out of information and community alerts at nixle.com) and
  3. PG&E Safety Shutoff Alerts, you will get notified according to each alert system.
  4. You are automatically signed up for Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs aka Amber Alerts, 5 mile radius)

Central Marin NRG has 2 online communities:
  • @CMNRG for ongoing events and updates
  • @CMNRG.bulletin.board for post-disaster online bulletin board. If cell networks aren't working, but folks can get access online if outside the disaster zone, folks can help each other reconnect, make rendezvous plans, etc.

Just turn the far right knob to "NOAA ALERT" to listen even if cell towers and/or PG&E power are down.
Small NOAA Radio.  Consider adding a hand crank/solar powered weather radio to your evacuation backpack, (some have a USB dock for charging a cell phone and flashlight). Marin County Sheriff's Office may broadcast current information.
